The new post editor in Blogger is awesome and will allow you to post images up to a default of 640 pixels wide (if you select the "X-Large" option and if your image is this size or larger). If you want your images to be 640 pixels wide all you need to do is upload a photo like you normally do and when you click on the image to actually insert it into the post it will give you size options- make sure you click on the "X-Large" size option.
